Nanowrimo 2018

Yay. It’s Nano season. I’m hoping my muse cooperates. I am really hoping that the stuff I will get to do makes my schedule settle again. I have my doubts, but we’ll see. I don’t really have a blurb for this – just it’s a supernatural piece of fun. I’ll share more later, but for now it’s my favourite time of the year and I am so happy! Nanowrimo rocks!

Blame it on the boogie…

I’ve been struggling to write about the holiday since we got home, because honestly, I didn’t know what I was getting into going to the Dominican, other than Mum loved it there and it was an amazing birthday present. But what is sticking with me right now (in part because I went and filmed for ten minutes to see the sea when I am really down) is the waves.And how much fun I had boogie boarding.  There’s even photographic proof but I’m so behind right now, because my birthday present from my other half was also given to me early (my birthday is mid-Nano), because it’s a laptop and swapping halfway through is probably going to drive me up the wall, so we’ve set up the new laptop.  Or are still setting it up.  It’s a process, let’s leave it at that.The laptop itself is amazing though!  I’m spoiled, even if it’s all early, and was my birthday and Christmas.  I really cannot complain.  I won’t complain.  And for those of you who haven’t actually seen me, here I am, holding the Boogie board before battering down the beach, at Macao, Punta Cana, after an amazing day with the safari group. Before the boogie…. 🙂 I’m getting on with everything and will be back to blogging soon, but yes, (a) I’m a natural redhead so being in that much sun did require serious (factor 50) suncream, no, I didn’t get burned (though I did fuss a lot about staying in the shade, much to the amusement of the rest of the family.  I did get a tiny burn on my legs, but that’s not the scar that’s also visible.  That, I did simply scratching at the beginning of July.  Looks like I was operated on now, but no, I just took[…]
